VERTEX.

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2026 · Version 1 draft

This policy covers the data Vertex processes to run your account, your predictions and your VXC balance.

1. Scope

This policy describes the data VERTEX processes to run the VERTEX prediction game. It reflects how the product actually works today and will be updated as the product changes.

2. What we collect

We process the following categories of data:

  • Account and authentication: your email address, authentication credentials held by our authentication provider, and — if you choose Google sign-in — the identity information Google returns to complete sign-in.
  • Profile: username, avatar image if you upload one, and account creation time.
  • Gameplay: your predictions (market, direction, target, VXC amount, timestamps), their outcomes, and your VXC balance and ledger entries.
  • Progression: XP, achievements and leaderboard standing.
  • Notifications: in-app result and system notifications generated for you.
  • Product analytics events: usage events describing which screens and actions are used. Production analytics collection is currently switched off.
  • Technical and security records: server, request, error and administrative audit records generated when the service runs. These can include technical identifiers such as IP address and user agent.

3. Why we use it

We use this data to:

  • Create and secure your account and sign you in.
  • Run rounds, settle predictions and maintain your VXC balance and history.
  • Show leaderboards, progression and notifications.
  • Detect abuse, protect game integrity and investigate security issues.
  • Understand and improve how the product is used, and to fix faults.

4. Who processes it

We rely on service providers who process data on our behalf as part of running VERTEX:

  • Our hosting and backend platform, which stores the database, authentication records, uploaded avatars and server logs.
  • Google, if you choose Google sign-in, for authenticating you.
  • A market-data provider, which supplies prices and candles. We request market data, not user data; as with any internet request, the provider may still observe connection metadata from our servers.

5. Public information

Your username, avatar and settled game performance (virtual profit, win rate, rank) are visible to other players on the leaderboard and profile surfaces. Your email address is never shown to other players.

6. Retention

Account, gameplay, balance and progression records are kept while your account exists, because they are the state of the game.

Raw product-analytics events are retained for 180 days and then removed automatically. Technical and security records are kept for a limited operational period.

Some records may be retained longer where needed to resolve disputes, prevent abuse or meet a legal obligation.

7. Security

Access to your data is restricted at the database level so that your account data is only readable through your own authenticated session, and privileged operations are limited to server-side code. No service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You can change your username and avatar in Account settings, and reset your password from the sign-in screen.

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to object to certain processing. Requests are handled through the support page.

9. Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated game data. Self-service deletion is being finalised; until it ships, deletion requests are handled through the support page. Some records may be retained where required for security or legal reasons.

10. Children

VERTEX is not intended for young children. A minimum-age requirement will be published here and at sign-up before public launch.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new revision date. Privacy questions go through the support page.
